St Mary-at-Hill is a beautiful Grade I listed Wren Church. The parish church for Billingsgate Ward serves the City and the community.
The church is available for a wide range of events. It comprises one large, open adaptable space and offers an additional vestry, a fully-equipped kitchen, toilets, and an entrance hallway suitable for reception area or ticket desk. There is disabled access to the church from St Mary-at-Hill.
Weddings, baptisms and funerals and receptions are all welcome. The church is also suitable for drinks parties, formal or informal lunches or dinners, conferences, choir and orchestra rehearsals, auditions and competitions, major concert performances, recitals and recordings.
The Church can seat up to 150 people (theatre style) and portable staging is available. The church has a Hassler Grand piano and a beautiful pipe organ. To discuss your booking please contact our administrator on 0207 626 4184.
Much of the original church was destroyed in the Great Fire of London (1666) but the walls and frame remained standing. The building has survived two further major fires; the last one in 1988. Although marked by its experiences, the spectacular interior retains the beauty and grace of Wren’s vision.
